Sigtronics Introduces New 11.9 oz. Super-Light Flex Boom Headset
SAN DIMAS, CA July 1, 1998 Headset and intercom pioneer Sigtronics Corporation has announced the introduction of its new Super-Light S-58 headsets.
Developed as a direct result of customer input and engineering evolution, the new S-58 series provides private aviators with the professional comfort and features they deserve.
Company founder and President Frank Sigona said All of us who fly know about headset discomfort. While we have always made the lightest headset line (12.3 oz. average), we knew we could make them even better. Our consumers also wanted an easier to use Flex Boom configuration and we responded. We have added a number of other new features to improve comfort and performance, said Sigona.
The S-58 headset features an incredible 11.9 oz. weight with foam ear seals, 14.8 oz. with gel ear seals, 5-year warranty, 50 % more comfortable headpad, reversible custom-flex boom and gel ear seals. A new noise-canceling microphone, non-glare powder-coated hardware, 105 strand per conductor Stop-Break cords, new Ultra-Foam windscreen, headset bag, and RFI and EMI free electronics make the S-58 ideal for pilots who want more comfort from a high-performance headset. Suggested list price is $329 for the standard version, slightly more for the stereo or the helicopter version.
Over the last 24 years, Sigtronics users have come to expect flawless performance from our headsets and intercoms. We took a little extra time to bring this new line to market, but then, we have a pretty high set of standards to keep, said Sigona.
Some of Sigtronics other products include the S-65, S-45, S-40 and S-20 aviation headsets as well as the Transcom II portable intercom, new SAS-440 series auto squelch intercoms, and the SPA-400 series intercoms in both mono and stereo configurations. All of Sigtronics products, as well as most components, are designed and manufactured at its new facility in San Dimas, California.
Sigtronics has been manufacturing headsets and intercoms for aviation, fire, and law enforcement markets around the world since 1974. For ordering information contact your local avionics dealer, mail order catalog, or pilot supply.
